note:
bestwood melamine is a pre-finished panel that requires no additional surface finishing. some distortion may occur, we therefore recommend that thin panels less than 9mm thick are not suitable for wall linings.
* all thicknesses are available in both double and single-sided, with the exception of 6mm, which is available in single-sided only.
restrictions on use
bestwood melamine should not be used in areas where it will be exposed to high moisture levels, for example, as wall linings for exteriors, for wet areas in regular contact with water, or for benchtops in kitchens and bathrooms.
surface finishes available
gloss - a smooth, shiny finish (not recommended for dark colours)
velvet - a delicate egg shell surface
embossed - a lightly textured, orange-peel like surface
woodgrain - simulates the quarter-cut pattern of natural timber
supermatte - a fine, smooth flat surface
edge finishing
bestwood melamine board can be finished with melamine, pvc edgetape or by postforming. |
